MEMORIES: ANNMARIE CLINE (1979)
Too many memories to tell. We explored, we swam, we hiked, we learned our knots by putting up a shower, I helped clean our cabin but I slept in a tent provided by my aunt.
What you miss?
doing square dancing in the house built on rail car springs. what a blast
Why did you came back?
my church group brought us back so we could earn our camp badges and build our friendships.
Memory #1
arts and crafts
Memory #2
shower lashing
Memory #3
laughter

My aunt would bring rope and old shower curtains, we would lash a shower, and then they would heat a can of water and mix it with cold water in a giant watering can. whoever was taking the shower would be behind the shower curtains while the watering can was poured over their head. Our leaders would shout hello's to make believe hikers, or park rangers. Or tell us it was time for lunch and they would be back in a little while. It was exciting and gave you bragging rights that you had used the "shower".
