Streams and Watershed
The main creek is nameless; identified only as "Headwaters of the Rocky River", "part of the East Branch of the Rocky River", and "a nameless tributary of the Rocky River". Upon leaving Richfield Heritage Preserve, the Creek flows through St. Bernard's Golf Course to Hinckley Reservation where it is impounded to form Hinckley Lake. Further downstream, it forms the lake on Baldwin Wallace University campus.
The only named creek in the park to date ( 2018) is Sandy Creek, which rises from springs in the northern driveway panhandle, forms a scenic ravine west of the main road then flows into the main creek at the Moss Garden on Deer Leap Trail.
